advertisementsservicedesignI have an Insignia TV with Fire TV. I've tried several other apps and they either don't work well or are bloated with ads. The Samsung app we tried for our other T.V. kept timimg out and required you to have the remote to activate the app. That doesn't do you any good when you can't find the remote. This app works surprisingly well and doesn't have ads! It really saves me for when my wife loses the remote.

loginsecuritynotificationsLatest update made an absolutely moronic decision to require logging into your Prime account. The app worked perfectly fine before, just needing wifi connection and the code to the TV you were accessing, but apparently working well isn't enough. Now amazon wants to control what tvs you can access to prevent sharing. Sorry, Amazon, you can buzz off; you have zero say inside my home. Edit: now it wants Bluetooth access when before it just needed wifi. What a joke.

performance_and_bugsupdates_and_maintenancecustomer_supportTrash. It deleted the volume buttons for me a week ago, selectively worked whenever I pressed a button and now it signed me out when I updated. Thanks for being so goddamn infuriating. Edit 05/27: They added in Bluetooth permissions to connect to the devices better but still can't fix the volume buttons back onto the remote. Make that make sense.
